Staryotype is a collection of tracks I put together throughout the seasons of 2013, before I'd yet to graduate high school (I was 15-16 at the time). Hard to suss out exactly what I was thinking with this, I recall my musical diet was somewhere between LFO, Aphex Twin, Ariel Pink, and a lot of 90s-era hip hop. I had just gotten FL Studio 10 a year prior and was fiddling around with a collection of free VSTs I'd accumulated, with no real prior musical/production training. The result was a bit glitchy, lo-fi, hardcore, ambient, beat-driven, house-like, acid-inspired, leftfield electronic. Originally I planned on mailing a bunch of Memorex CD copies out to various friends, but I only managed to send a handful at the time. I made the cover art in Photoshop, and the original Bandcamp release included a .zip of individual art I had made/assembled for all 30 tracks
