Note : What, you're probably thinking, there are even more films in the Zombie Flesh Eaters series? Well, kind of, since this was never a well defined series in the first place. But this is definitely a film that's been marketed as part of the series, and many consider it a kind of last gasp for the Italian zombie genre. Yes, there are Italian zombie movies after this, like Michele Soavi's Cemetery Man, but that's more of an Italian movie with zombies in it, not a continuation of the exact subgenre Fulci perfected. This isn't great, but it has a few things going for it, like the presence of 80s porn star Jeff Stryker, doing some Serious Acting, and a zombie with an M16, which is a first for me. I thought we'd established in Dead Heat that 80s zombies prefer Uzis.

This is a pretty standard Italian zombie plot, some people travel to an island to investigate strange goings on, there's some vaguely supernatural curse stuff, some military people are involved, things go sideways, mostly everyone gets killed, there's an explosion and building on fire, and the ending is unhappy. Take it or leave it, I guess.

This is a very bare-bones remaster that doesn't even have subtitles, but the English audio track is not a dub as such, the film was mostly shot in English, with some actors who didn't speak English dubbed after. Cinematography is ok, but almost consistently underexposed, and the image quality is fine, nothing more.
