Summary:

As the plague decimates medieval Europe, rumors circulate of a village immune from the plague. There is talk of a necromancer who leads the village and is able to raise the dead. A fearsome knight joined by a cohort of soldiers and a young monk are charged by the church to investigate. Their journey is filled with danger, but it's upon entering the village that their true horror begins.

Trama
Siamo nel 1348 in un'Inghilterra colpita dalla peste. In un monastero il giovane novizio Osmund è combattuto se lasciare i voti e raggiungere la sua amata o restare nal monastero. Il segno divino gli arriva quando il cavaliere Ulrich mandato dal vescovo per una missione assieme ai suoi uomini, chide una guida al monastero nella zona dove ècresciuto Osmund e dove ha mandato la sua amata. Quello che apprenderà dopo la partenza è che nelvillaggio dove sono diretti si vocifera che una negromante riporta in vita i morti e tiene lontana la peste con la stregoneria, e loro sono diretti li per riportare il villaggio a Dio, ma non han fatto i conti con la strega Langiva...
