Corky, che per vivere si adatta a fare l'idraulico, si reca per un lavoro in un appartamento di Chicago. Nell'ascensore incontra Violet, la donna di Ceasar, delinquente dedito al riciclaggio del denaro sporco. Tra le due ragazze scocca la scintilla della reciproca attrazione, che ben presto si tramuta in un vero rapporto.
