Cadfael DVD 3



Shrewsbury, 1138. Broeder Cadfael leeft al jaren teruggetrokken in een Benedictijnenklooster. Na een leven als koopman en kruistochtsoldaat heeft hij genoeg van zijn hectische leventje en besluit om, als monnik, zijn leven aan god te wijden. Hij gebruikt kruiden en planten om zieke broeders en dorps- en streekmensen te genezen. Hij beschikt over een fantastisch analytisch vermogen, ijzersterke logica en grote mensenkennis. De sheriff, Hugh Beringar, doet dan ook regelmatig een beroep op Cadfael wanneer hij radeloos klem zit bij de oplossing van misdaden of moorden in de streek. Cadfael heeft vaak genoeg aan een kleine aanwijzing om een heel ander licht op de zaak te werpen...


The Sanctuary Sparrow:
De goudsmid van Shrewbury wordt beroofd en voor dood achtergelaten. De opgehitste bevolking verdenkt een jongleur. Om aan de massa te ontsnappen zoekt deze laatste asiel in de abdij van Cadfael.
