TRAMA:
Basato sullo scalmanato personaggio ideato da Dav Pilkey negli anni novanta, Capitan Mutanda è il supereroe del quotidiano che mancava nel vasto panorama animato e non. Grassoccio, inetto, irrimediabilmente tonto, non perde mai l'esuberanza e il portamento snodato e disinvolto con cui affronta le sfide e i nemici immaginari. Ma il Signor Grugno (Ed Helms nella versione originale), l'alter ego del paladino in mutandoni bianchi, non è sempre stato così...
George Beard (Kevin Hart) e Harold Hutchins, età 10 anni, vengono convocati nell'ufficio del preside con l'accusa di "amicizia a delinquere". Agli occhi dei due piccoli scavezzacollo, il direttore dell'istituto appare come un adulto isterico e noioso che, ossessionato dal dovere di applicare il rigido regolamento scolastico, ha dichiarato guerra alle risate e al divertimento. Ed è un problema visto che George e Harold, mini furfanti, hanno invece sposato la missione di ravvivare l'ambiente scolastico combinando uno scherzo dietro l'altro, dalle classiche bombe di vernice alle inedite tigri in corridoio. I due nemici naturali si scontrano in presidenza in una battaglia all'ultima nota di demerito, dalla quale, grazie a uno stratagemma ben congegnato, escono vittoriosi i due ragazzini: George usa il suo anello 3D per ipnotizzare l'insegnante e trasformarlo nell'eroe dei fumetti inventati da loro. Capitan Mutanda si sbarazza dell'inutile parrucchino, si avvolge nella tenda rossa e si fionda in strada verso incredibili, deliranti avventure.
STORYLINE:
Two overly imaginative pranksters named George and Harold hypnotize their principal into thinking he's a ridiculously enthusiastic, incredibly dimwitted superhero named Captain Underpants.
