Cinderella (Lily James) is een weeskind dat door haar stiefmoeder (Cate Blanchett)
en stiefzussen (Sophie McShera en Holliday Grainger) onrechtvaardig wordt behandeld.
Op een dag ontmoet ze in het bos een charmante vreemdeling met wie ze zich gelijk
verwant voelt. Wanneer de koning een open uitnodiging voor een feest stuurt naar
alle maagden van het land, hoopt ze dat de vreemdeling ook van de partij is. Maar
haar stiefmoeder verbiedt haar te gaan en verscheurt Cinderella's jurk.

Storyline

A girl named Ella (Cinderella) has the purest heart living in a cruel world
filled with evil stepsisters and an evil stepmother out to ruin Ella's life.
Ella comes one with her pure heart when she meets the prince and dances her
way to a better life with glass shoes, and a little help from her fairy godmother,
of course.
