Mother rushes to get ready for the party, but as she catches her reflection in the mirror, she notices not only is her bra strap showing, her dress has a small rip in is at the bottom.
Not to worry, Mother has always been the domesticated sort, and has her sewing kit at the ready to fix the small rip. But there is only one problem, Mother is having trouble threading the needle! She puts on her glasses and gets in the light from the open window, but still no good.
