Crossroads is a 1986 film starring Ralph Macchio, Joe Seneca and Jami Gertz, inspired by the legend of blues musician Robert Johnson.
The plot centers around Eugene (Macchio), who is an extraordinary young talent in classic guitar, but he dreams of being a famous Blues guitarist. So he investigates to find a lost blues song as an entry into greatness. He seeks out and asks the legendary Blues musician Willie Brown to help him, but Willie demands for help to free him from the old-people's prison first, and to truly learn the blues by travelling its origin: the Mississippi Delta. Eugene doesn't know yet about Willie's deal with the devil, that he now wants to revoke.
The film has an original musical score featuring Ry Cooder and Steve Vai. Vai also appears in the film as the devil's guitar player in the climactic guitar duel.
