David Bowie - Heroes EP UHD (1977 - Rock) [Flac 24-192]
Bowie temporarily moved to Berlin using the "non-musician" Brian Eno to indulge a perennial desire for change and deliver yet another of his chameleonic mutations. Undoubtedly the most brilliant from an artistic point of view and in perspective the most influential, which saw him invent a future thrown beyond punk as early as '77 after having outlined the aesthetic foundations at the time of glam.
The human being came from a period of drug addiction and assorted delusions, overcome by helping his friend Iggy Pop (and himself) to come to his senses through the excellent THE IDIOT and LUST FOR LIFE; works that in a certain sense we can consider introductions of rank (if not real dress rehearsals) for the aforementioned turning point, an infatuation with the krautrock of Neu !, Kraftwerk and Can transformed into reality in the so-called Berlin Trilogy.
In the exact middle between the equally essential LOW and the ethnic veins of LODGER, HEROES stands out, divided like its predecessor into a first side of songs and a second one dedicated to instrumentals with an environmental flavor; this time, however, set up relying on Cluster and the first Tangerine Dream and closing the games with a sung song, the self-explanatory hypnosis "The Secret Life Of Arabia".
