5 guys in their 20's spend most of their time hanging out in a Diner. It's Christmas time in 1959, and the guys all begin to think it's about time they went about their lives without the comfort of the 'diner'.

A Baltimora, cinque giovanotti si ritrovano spesso a tavola, per chiacchierare dei bei tempi andati e combinare qualche scherzo, tanto da rinfrescarne il ricordo. Il capo è Boogie, gran seduttore, inguaiato con un losco individuo per duemila dollari e sempre pronto a fare scommesse, c'è Eddie, sempre polemico ma timido, che deve sposarsi, ma ha deciso che prima la fidanzata si sottoponga ad un "test". E poi Bill, la cui ragazza, benchè incinta, rifiuta di sposarlo..
