Drake teams up with Young Thug, for the second time on Drizzy’s 2017 “playlist” More Life, for this light and cheerfully produced modern ballad, produced by the highly rated S1 and the brains behind many of Thugger’s greatest hits, Supah Mario.
In true Drizzy fashion, the lyrics on this song seem to be referring to a mystery love interest. Drake attempts to convince this woman, who acts cold after being mistreated in an earlier relationship, to let the ice melt and give him a chance. Although it is not clear exactly who Drake is serenading on this track, former love interest Jennifer Lopez, label-mate Nicki Minaj and even Rihanna are among the figures in possible speculation.
This track has also been subject to controversy, as similarities between this track and D.R.A.M.’s, Lil Yachty assisted hit single “Broccoli” have been noticed, most noticeably in the bouncy 808 driven production.
