d'Urfey - Pills to Purge Melancholy (Saydisc) [MP3] [twistle]
This is a repost of one of my TPB torrents, but with 1337x tracker added. Once TPB goes down, make sure DHT is enabled to pick up on the seeders that have not downloaded a copy of this updated torrent file.
Be aware that as long as TPB is listed as a primary tracker, the "completed" tally will be inaccurate (as is often reset).

This is a selection of RUDE songs (including a couple of catches : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catch_(music)), published by the above wit as part of a massive and important collection of some 1000+ songs called "Wit and Mirth, or Pills to Purge Melancholy" in several volumes from 1698.
The City Waites as a group are into a certain level of re-enactment: you'll not find pretty voices on any of their recordings, and this is no exception. These are bawdy songs, and are sung 'in character' (although this particular CD is in a theatrical/classical style).
I'd term this CD as being of 'educational' interest, as well as being worth an occasional good laugh. Oyster Nan is definitely a naughty lass ... :)
I strongly recommend the other CDs by the City Waites, as well as those by the Baltimore Consort, both of which have released some superb recordings of the folkier side of early English music.
