Also, this free course does not include the ESC4C Reference Guide.

Topics include: Computing basics; GUI/CLI interfaces; Information Gathering; Files and Directories; Application basics; Configuration settings; and Getting help. The course is designed to save you many hours of learning these topics individually and putting the context together yourself. This course is the same material as Part A of the Essential Skills and Concepts for Computing (ESC4C) course, and is a prerequisite for moving to the intermediate level material in ESC4C.
