Justine è una timida sedicenne che si è appena iscritta al college per diventare veterinaria. Da sempre vegetariana, a scuola fatica a farsi accettare e spesso è vittima di atti di bullismo, in cui viene costretta a mangiare per la prima volta la carne, come rito di iniziazione. Dopo aver assaggiato la carne la sua vita cambia inesorabilmente, viene afflitta da voglie incontrollabili e attacchi di rabbia, che la condurranno al cannibalismo.
