[ITA] Heimat è un film del 1992 diretto dal regista tedesco Edgar Reitz. È diviso in 13 episodi. Racconta la storia di Hermann Simon dal 1960 al 1970, quando, lasciato il villaggio dell'Hunsrück descritto nel primo Heimat, si trasferisce a Monaco di Baviera in cerca di fortuna.
Episodio 10 - La fine del futuro (Reinhard, 1966): Reinhard cerca idee e soldi per girare il suo film, mentre la Tana delle Volpi è rasa al suolo dalla modernità.
Come nel primo Heimat, vi sono personaggi che si defilano, altri che addirittura scompaiono, ma in Heimat 2 ogni episodio è un film a sé, ha la sua piena autonomia. Qui si parla di Reinhard, che avevamo perso di vista anche perché aveva compiuto un lungo viaggio in Sudamerica. C'è molta più Venezia che Monaco e fa la sua apparizione Esther, una fotografa che ispirerà Reinhard. Il titolo si riferisce al sodalizio fra i giovani artisti che si sfalda, mentre ognuno di essi tende a rifugiarsi nel suo angolo, chi con rassegnazione, chi di buon grado, chi tentando goffamente di ribellarsi alla deriva.

It tells the story of how Maria's youngest son Hermann leaves his rural home and makes a new life for himself as a composer in Munich during the socially turbulent years of the 1960s. At 25 hours and 32 minutes divided into 13 episodes, The Second Heimat is considered the longest film to be commercially shown in its entirety
Episode 10 - The End of the Future (Reinhard, 1966): Hermann and his friends fight when the villa where they met is torn down, Clarissa becomes a mother and Reinhard drowns in "The End of the Future".
