Tom, un leggendario rapinatore di banche, dopo essersi innamorati di Annie, decide di ripartire da capo e mettere da parte il suo passato criminale. Fa allora un accordo con l'Fbi, che non è mai riuscita a catturarlo. Presto, però, si rende conto di come i federali abbiano invece in mente un altro piano: mettere le mani sul suo bottino e farlo accusare di omicidio. In trappola, inseguito dalla polizia e dall'Fbi, capisce di dover correre ai ripari: prendendo in mano la situazione, si lancerà in una vendetta esplosiva.
