Hey all, EoE here with some encoding notes. To LOVE-ru S1 is well known for having really horrific blu rays. The list of issues is long, but mainly boils down to combed fields, odd telecine patterns, weird ghosting, massive halos, line dancing, and probably some other crap I’ve forgotten about. I’ve put more effort than I really should’ve done to fix these issues, with the scripts going through several revisions over the last month or so, and the final result is fairly good. Of course, it’s not perfect, encoding from a Q-Tec upscale, but I am happy to say that it will be one of the best BD encodes for the show available. Also, with regard to the Darkness 2nd OADs, the sources for these are scattered around, and I have used parts from all of them to try to get the best encode possible for those too. Hopefully this saves anyone who has been trying to watch these some painful time digging around.
