'Killing Bono' is het verhaal van twee uiteenlopende levens. Wanneer Bono en zijn band U2 afstevenen op wereldberoemdheid bewandelt zijn schoolvriend Neil McCormick het tegenovergestelde pad. Maar soms hebben de grootste mislukkelingen de meest interessante verhalen te vertellen.
