Burn the disc image (ISO) into a DVD to use as a bootable disc.
Can use any popular Free Disc Burners like ImgBurn, Infra Recorder, Burnaware Free etc.
Before burning you can mount or explore the contents...
Windows 8 can mount ISOs directly.. Or you can use free tools like Daemon Tools Lite, Gizmo Central, etc... to mount,
and Archive managers like PeaZip, 7-zip to extract or open/browse the disc content...
Also you can test the boot process using virtual machines :)
QEMU (Q Emulator, a small vMachine) can be used and QEMU is inside Xboot, which can be found in the Disc.
Also can be done with other bigger and popular virtual machine software like VirtualBox, VMWare etc...
(But note that booting into certain distros. are limited by hardware and some of them might fail in QEMU etc, but don't worry :)
