Lady are a duo who come with impeccable soul credentials. Singers Terri Walker and Nicole Wray have both already enjoyed chequered careers, releases and collaborations. As Lady, soul from the old-school dominates their approach: the album is an undeniably funky mix of Motown swing, retro-soul swagger and sassy hip-hop attitude that takes you back to the late 1960s and early 1970s.
