Joe Harriott & Ronnie Ross were guests on the Modern Jazz Quartet's tour of the United Kingdom in 1959 and whilst most (if not all) of the two performances were privately recorded on 4 December in Manchester, the tracks heard here are concerned only with the featured solo spots of the two British musicians and the other tracks on which they have solos.
