Plot
After spending 20 years in prison, Eugene Wang (Nick Cheung) is finally released but is unable to reconcile with his past for murder he did not commit. Chance leads him to reunite with Han Tsui (Michael Wong) and his daughter Zoe Tsui (Janice Chang). The resemblance of Zoe to Wang’s long deceased lover and Wang’s apparent hatred for Han Tsui thickens the plot even more.
On the other side, Inspector Lam (Simon Yam) is haunted by his wife’s suicide and struggles to comprehend the reality, leading him into an obsession with opening up cold cases to search for wrongly convicted crimes. His obsession leads him into a tricky relationship with his daughter. One day, a disfigured body is discovered in the ocean, who is identified to be Han Tsui. Inspector Lam spent no time into tracking down the main suspect, Eugene Wang. However, as Lam, with his total obsession of the truth, continues to dig deeper into old files and the history of the victim and suspect, he discovers dark secrets hidden deliberately for 20 years and unveils a horrible truth that will eventually change the lives of those involved.
