Nightmare City (1980) aka Incubo sulla città contaminata, directed by Umberto Lenzi, Arrow remaster, encoded in 10 bit HEVC with AAC sound, including original English theatrical mono, original Italian theatrical mono, commentary track, and English subtitles.

Video encoded in two-pass 14.0 Mbps x265 10bit with the veryslow preset for archive quality image. Audio encoded separately with Apple AAC for the highest-quality AAC sound available. Text subtitles converted to SRT, image subtitles converted to VobSub and repositioned.

Note : Umberto Lenzi making a zombie movie (sorry, "infected" movie) seems interesting on paper, but unfortunately it doesn't quite work. However, this has the distinction of being the very first fast zombie movie, as far as I know, and also has a pretty decent cast, including Hugo Stiglitz, Laura Trotter, Maria Rosaria Omaggio, Francisco Rabal, and Mel Ferrer. Other than that, fairly standard Italian zombie stuff, including grotty looking zombies, inventive and gory kills with plenty of tits and even an eye gouging, and a totally preposterous dud of an ending. Still, worth seeing for the zombie enthusiast.

Television reporter Miller is at an airport waiting to interview a scientist about a nuclear accident. Unfortunately, when the plane arrives, it's full of atomic zombies, including the scientist, who use tools (mostly knives) to kill everyone, and atomicity is apparently contagious, because their victims also rise from the dead. Miller runs to the TV station, where he comes into conflict with General Murchison, who doesn't want the public to know, then sets off to a local hospital to find his doctor wife just as the zombies arrive at the TV station to messily kill a bunch of aerobics instructors. From there, it's back and forth between Miller's travels across the countryside with his wife, running into various ghouls, the general in his bunker tracking the outbreak, and the general's wife who's with friends at an isolated country house, which goes about as well as you'd expect.

This is a pretty bad copy, the original film has lots of stains, scratches, and faded emulsion which means the image is a bit all over the place, but it does give a suitably grimy grindhouse feel to the viewing, and honestly isn't too distracting. The mono tracks sound fine, and the commentary track is worth listening to.
