Summary:

Littlefoot and the gang meet a shy newcomer, Ali, but the pleasantries stop there. There's a dire environmental theme to this third sequel in the series, in which the world's weather changes beyond the Great Valley, and what had been dry land is now a "land of mists." The shift brings new creatures who push out older inhabitants, and Littlefoot sees these radical changes for himself when he has to venture into the area to find a medicinal flower for his sick grandfather. While the animation is slow and contained the way direct-to-video cartoon releases often are, the story is sound and the now-familiar characters are memorable.

Een kudde langnekken brengt belangrijk nieuws over weersveranderingen in de groene vallei. Wat vroeger droog land was, is nu een land vol mist geworden en allerlei nieuwe wezens hebben hun thuis gevonden in de regenachtige moerassen. Gelukkig is 'De Groene Vallei' nog even mooi als altijd en bestaat er geen reden om 'Het Land Van De Mist' op te zoeken... totdat de opa van Platvoet ziek wordt. Zijn enige kans om te overleven is het eten van de gouden 'Night Flower' die groeit in 'Het Land Van De Mist'. Het is dan ook aan de dappere Platvoet en zijn vriendjes om op onderzoek uit te gaan en op tijd de 'Night Flower' te vinden om zijn opa te redden.
