Sina is a middle-class sixteen-year-old growing up in Tehran. His previously idyllic life becomes fractured when
his parents announce their impending divorce. Adding to his sense of abandonment is the threat of a local
thug who believes that Sina owes him money. In the face of his parents' constant absence and in
a defiant act of rebellion, he allows an older girl, Nahid, to temporarily move in with him.
