Slaughter of the Vampires [La strage dei vampiri] (1962)
Slaughter of the Vampires is just a slight twist on the Dracula tale. The Vampire(Deiter Eppert) and one of his vampire girls are being chased by some angry villagers. The vampire girl trips and is set upon and killed by the villagers, but the Vampire flees and takes refuge in the wine cellar of Louise (Graziella Granata) and Wolfgang (Walter Brandi). He crashes their party, dances with and then seduces Louise.
That's when the similarity with Dracula begins. The Vampire, who is never named, bites Louise. A doctor friend of Wolfgang's tries to save her as her health declines, but he can not and she dies. Before she dies Wolfgang is sent to get Dr. Nietzsche (Luigi Batzell as Paolo Solvay) who the Van Helsing of this story. From here on out its a cat and mouse game between Wolfgang, Dr. Nietzshe and The Vampire.
