Summary:

Oldrich "Fajolo" Fajták (Marián Bielik), a student who directs quasi-existentialist verbal abuse at his girlfriend Bela Blazejová (Jana Beláková), takes off to a formally volunteer summer work camp at a farm where he meets her grandfather.

Description

Fajolo (Marian Bielik) and Bela (Jana Belakova) are a casual teenage couple at the end of the school year. As Fajolo heads to a mandatory work-camp for the summer, Bela grapples with the claustrophobia of her tense family life. As their lives overlap despite their separation, an existential portrait of this particular time begins to emerge. The screenplay was based on short stories written by Alfonz Bednar, and is considered the beginning of the New Wave movement in Czechoslovak cinema.
