Craft Lawrence is a peddler who trades in various kinds of goods visiting every village by a cart. After he leaves Pasroe, a town excited by a harvest festival, he found a girl sleeping on a pile of wheat in the cart. She is a beautiful girl but has wolf ears and a tail. She names herself Holo, the god presides over rich harvest.

"I was called God, but I am nothing more than Holo".

Her art of conversation is craft, and even Lawrence, an experienced peddler, is made fun of her talking.
Although he doubts if she is really a god, he was moved by her words that she wishes to go home in the north, and he promises her to go with.
Meanwhile, he is approached with a money-making idea. The value of silver coin in a country will rise soon. To investigate the trick of the money-making idea, he buys the story…
