The History of Rock

The History of Rock has been debated by historians and musicians alike. Mainly, when was the very first rock song ever recorded. Though, music has evolved through the last 100 years into what we hear as modern day rock music. Rock style songs were probably played for centuries but were never recorded or written down. The History of Rock attempts to bring the listener from the beginning, first being a modern interpretation of 1000 year old African polyrhythm's, next is a Japanese Taiko drums song, possibly heard in the 14th or 15th century, giving us the backbeat influence of modern rock n roll.
Then the influences of the beginning of the 20th century with Country, Jazz, Blues and Swing music, giving way to the rock of the 50's and 60's and eventually to our present day Rock, its sub-genres and beyond.
This is but a small sample of the History of Rock.
