De archeoloog Dr. Michael Stone heeft zijn hele leven gezocht naar het verloren medallion. Nu heeft zijn zoon Billy de zoektocht voortgezet. Wonderbaarlijk belandt het medallion in Billy's handen en als hij spontaan een wens uitroept belandt hij samen met zijn vriendin Allie 200 jaar terug in de tijd op het eiland Aumakua. Ze komen in aanraking met Cobra, die niets liever heeft dan dat ze verdwijnen. Met geen andere weg om terug te komen naar huis en het welzijn van het hele eiland rustend op zijn schouders moet Billy de werking van het medallion en zijn immense kracht zien te ontdekken.
