This documentary style production - available as a download too from itunes at present
tells of the horrors involved in the atrocities said to be committed by Japanese soldiers against
the Chinese in what came to be known as "The rape of Nanking" . As pointed out by a PBS interviewer
of the author of the book by that name (she even made it onto the Charlie Rose program - nice
show while it ran for so many interesting episodes over many years) the number of Chinese nationals
killed during the Nanking massacre and occupation exceeded the body counts of both Hiroshima and
Nagasaki combined! Why so much silence and even amnesia on the part of the Japanese, he asks!

The witness accounts and footage along with descriptions of the horrors are too incredulous for words
at times, however (language warning) it apparently included women being raped using "bayonets'
and even "fire crackers" and reports of women's heads being split in half with sword execution following
orgies of ritualized rape as described even.

The woman on the video who narrates much of the ideas and introduces the survivor interviewees
- both Chinese along with Japanese who have corroborating stories to add to the mass of evidence
known to exist makes a gaffe that cannot go unchallenged aby any conscionable presenter
of this material and we are no exception at eurohumanist.org/moviesbyrizzo.com Specifically,of the
most gruesome cruelties alleged to have been involved during this massacre event, she boldly states that
ALL HUMANS are capable of carrying out such atrocities as are described with only "political and social" circumstances
being brought to to bear to bring out such evil as she says is true of ALL MEN therefore. We reject this comment
(enough of the bloody so-called political correctness which seeks to smear normal decent men in order to make all
"equal" hypothetically without foundation) and cannot accept it without saying so, including by making note of this in
the subtitles track we edited - the itunes subs had no translation for the non english spoken parts - 40% of the video in
fact - so we integrated from other subs to make a forced subs srt (which is embedded in the MKV video and can be switched
off if you prefer your own subs) for which we have provided a separate english template SRT which is a complete sub including
both the english and non english spoken parts which we took some hours to put together for you, while trying for the forced
subs extraction and integration to serve everyone's needs as it were..
