Description
There are four playable characters, each of which has a season assigned to them that determines their shooting type (main season): Reimu Hakurei (spring), Cirno (summer), Aya Shameimaru (fall) and Marisa Kirisame (winter). In addition, a sub-season is initially selected, in which again the four seasons, as well as for the extra stage a fifth, the ex-season.

Shooting enemies, completing Spellcards and Graze creates Season Items, which drop down like other items and can be collected by the player, slowly replenishing Options. Pressing the Release button (default: C) consumes all Options for a Season Release, which can convert orbs into green point items that permanently increase the value of blue point items in a pattern that depends on the sub-season.
