Raphael, Gardo en Rato zijn drie jongetjes die opgroeien in
een sloppenwijk en de kost verdienen met het afstruinen van een
grote vuilnisbelt. Tijdens hun zoektocht naar bruikbare spullen
vinden ze op een dag een leren tas met daarin een portemonnee,
een identiteitskaart, een plattegrond en een sleutel. Het trio
besluit om de tas met inhoud te houden en niet aan de politie
over te dragen. Door dit besluit komen de drie al snel in de
problemen en worden ze achterna gezeten door corrupte figuren
binnen de politie en de overheid.





When two trash-picking boys from Rio's slums find a wallet in
amongst the daily detritus of their local dump, little do they
imagine that their lives are about to change forever. But when the
local police show up, offering a handsome reward for the wallet's
return, the boys, Rafael and Gardo, realize that what they've
found must be important.
