Tutte le notti Marlo (Charlize Theron) infila le ciabatte, mette il pentolino sul fuoco e scalda il biberon; allatta il suo bambino, lo culla per farlo addormentare. La faticosa vita di una madre di tre bambini viene immortalata in Tully, divertente commedia diretta da Jason Reitman, sulle gioie e gli ostacoli della maternità. Proprio quando Marlo è al limite delle forze, incapace di donare a ciascun componente della famiglia le attenzioni di cui ha bisogno, una giovane Mary Poppins in skinny jeans suona alla porta. La neoassunta tata notturna Tully (Mackenzie Davis) arriva per prendersi cura dei bambini e soprattutto della loro stanchissima madre. Anche se all'inizio Marlo fatica ad abituarsi ai modi inconsueti e stravaganti della baby sitter, e ai numerosi cambiamenti apportati alla sua sfibrante routine serale, col tempo le due donne stringeranno una proficua alleanza che si trasformerà in un sincero legame d'amicizia.
Every night Marlo (Charlize Theron) puts on slippers, puts the saucepan on the stove and warms the bottle; she breastfeeds her baby, cradles him to make him fall asleep. When he can finally go back to bed, it is already morning: there is to prepare lunch for the older children, to wish a good day to the husband who takes the driveway towards liber ... work.
The strenuous life of a mother of three children is immortalized in Tully, a funny comedy directed by Jason Reitman, on the joys and obstacles of motherhood. Just when Marlo is at the limit of his strength, unable to give every member of his family the attention he needs, a young Mary Poppins in skinny jeans plays at the door. The new night-time nanny Tully (Mackenzie Davis) arrives to take care of the children and especially their tired mother. Although at first Marlo struggles to get used to the unusual and extravagant ways of the baby sitter, and the many changes made to his exhausting evening routine, over time the two women will hold a fruitful alliance that will turn into a sincere bond of friendship.
