Under the Boardwalk racconta il mondo dei granchi che vivono a Jersey Shore, di preciso quelli di mare e quelli di terra, schierati gli uni contro gli altri. Accade, però, che Armen, un granchio di terra, si innamori di Ramona, un granchio di mare, ma questa relazione è disapprovata dalle loro famiglie e anche dai loro amici. Questo malcontento porta allo scatenarsi di diverse tensioni tra la coppia e rispettivi conoscenti e familiari.
Quando a causa di una tempesta i due si ritrovano molto lontano da casa, Armen e Ramona saranno costretti ad affrontare un'avventura che porterà i due gruppi di granchi a unirsi in un'unica comunità e convivere pacificamente.
