One of the last fully hand-drawn animes with lavish matte paintings using all 24 frames/second, Uinasu senki (Venus Wars) is surprisingly watchable with an orchestral score and decent voice-acting in both dubs. The plot is well-trod, but not such that we mind too much.
Ripping: The Italian Blu-Ray is a grain-obliterated travesty taken from an unrestored source. Occasional film blemishes are visible, but otherwise it turned out quite nicely after beating it over the head with FRFun7 and MVDegrain3 in AutoMKV and Handbrake. Looks better than that bloated 11gig 1080p shred out there.
