Wendy is met haar hond Lucy op weg naar Alaska in de hoop daar werk te vinden, als in een stadje in
Oregon haar auto stukgaat. Ze is platzak en jat tijdens haar oponthoud hondenvoer voor Lucy. Dan
gaat het mis: Wendy wordt gearresteerd en als ze later die dag vrijkomt, is Lucy verdwenen. In haar
pogingen om haar hond terug te vinden, is Wendy overgeleverd aan de behulpzaamheid van
vreemden.

A woman's life is derailed en route to a potentially lucrative summer job. When her car breaks down,
