Opis:
We wrześniu 1944 roku alianci, upojeni sukcesem inwazji na Normandię, rozpoczęli tajne przygotowania do operacji "Market Garden". Był to szalony plan szybkiego zakończenia wojny przez zaatakowanie Niemiec i całkowite zniszczenie zakładów przemysłu wojennego Trzeciej Rzeszy. Jednak połączenie wojskowej strategii, błędów wywiadu, zwykłego pecha i kiepskiej pogody doprowadziło do totalnej katastrofy. "O jeden most za daleko" to epicka opowieść, drobiazgowo przedstawiająca ambitny plan, który w rezultacie spowodował więcej strat niż lądowanie aliantów w Normandii. Staranne odtworzenie miejsc akcji i doborowa obsada, wśród której są takie gwiazdy, jak Sean Connery, Michael Caine, James Caan, Laurence Olivier czy Robert Redford zaowocowały prawdziwie mistrzowskim odzwierciedleniem monumentalnego zasięgu, napięcia i niebezpieczeństwa jednej z największych gier wojennych w historii.
Storyline:
It is near the end of WWII. The Germans have lost most of France, and the Allied forces decide to give them the final hit. They plan to drop thousands of paratroopers in the Netherlands and keep a few key positions there, until reenforcements arrive. The most important spot is the bridge of Arnhem; once it's captured, it can block everything west of Germany
